Beth Yen found her inspiration from house music at a young age and spent most of her youth rummaging through bins at her favorite UK record shops. 90s dance, funk, and house influenced her teens, and soon, she was spinning records at warehouse parties in Manchester and Leeds. In 2008, Beth moved to Sydney where her stamp on the house seen began to flourish. Her collaboration with fellow DJs and event promoters has led to an impressive list of global bookings. In Beth’s first year on Ibiza, she became a resident at landmark clubs Amnesia and Pacha. At sea, Yen is a resident for the Pukka Up VIP boat party and is no stranger to playing alongside big names like Carl Cox, Steve Aoki, Nervo, Diplo, DJ Snake, and Gorgon City. She’s known on the White Isle for captivating the crowd with a beaming energy that is a beacon from across the dance floor.
From mega-clubs to intimate venues like one of her favorites, Lucky 13 in Singapore, Beth style of house gets everyone around involved and excited. In addition to providing music for brands like Hermes, Armani Exchange, Palazzo Versace, she’s played festivals like Colombo’s Sunset Music festival (alongside Avicii) and Sri Lanka’s Cantaloupe Playground. She’s even DJed at the Darling Hotel for an event with Stevie Wonder.
Beth travels around the world, but still finds a balance between the DJ booth and the studio. Her latest track “Who Cares?” was released on Freemaison Recordings and hit #4 on the UK club charts in 2015. Accordingly, Freemasons have dubbed her “one of the brightest up and coming new DJ producers.” She’s currently working on remixes for a handful of other artists and is set to release more originals and collaborations this year.
