Michael Duchesne (dú-shane) is a singer-songwriter from Sydney Australia.
After opening for American artist Eric Benét on his Australian tour in 2011, Duchesne landed a spot on the hit TV show 'The Voice Australia', where under the mentorship of ‘Coach Seal’, he made Seal’s top 6. His final performance - The Beatles’ classic ‘Got To Get You Into My Life’ was broadcast Live to over two million people on the first night alone.
Duchesne has performed at premier events & venues throughout Australia, including sharing the headline slot at The Manly Jazz Festival with Lionel Cole in 2013 & opening for ‘Hot Chocolate’ on their 2014 tour of Australia. Alongside the likes of Aloe Blacc & D’angelo, Duchesne opened the international stage at the Sydney leg of ‘Soulfest’ 2014.
Duchesne has an acute skill for songwriting and production & has been described by Grammy-Award winning producer M-Phazes as “..an asset to Australian Soul Music..”
Duchesne’s debut EP ‘Take Me’ was released in 2014 to a sold out crowd at 505 Jazz Club, and is now available on iTunes.
